The pro bono project Genius offers workshops to students with giftedness from public schools in Brazil. We bring together students, their guardians, teachers, and professionals in the field of giftedness to discuss the education of these children and young people. We are open to collaborating with schools and educational institutions throughout Brazil.

in practice
One of the branches of Genius is the workshops. They last for 4 hours and accommodate up to 12 people. Everyone sits around a large table where various rounds of challenges, 3D constructions with LEGO® bricks, storytelling, and reflections take place. The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology helps engage all participants and encourages active involvement throughout the process. Additionally, it creates a safe speaking environment, facilitates communication, creative thinking, and problem-solving.
The Genius' workshops provide a safe space for children and young people with giftedness to express themselves, seek help with issues they are facing, and be better understood by those around them. Our gathering consists of:
-
Youth aged 12 to 18 (identified or in the process of identification by the High Abilities Classroom)
-
Parents or guardians of the students
-
Teachers
-
Psychologists, psycho-pedagogues, and professionals working in the field of giftedness
It is worth noting that the more diverse the group, the richer the workshop becomes. Therefore, it is recommended to have at least some parents, teachers, and professionals from the field present at the activity.
